Abuja - Associates of ex-militant leader, Government
Ekpemupolo, have been arrested by soldiers in Warri, Delta State, Vanguard
Two of Tompolo's associates were arrested while it is
alleged that they were on the run. This includes a member of the Delta
Waterways and Land Security Committee.
On the arrest of Simon Bebenimibo and Bomboy Oluwa, they
were taking to the military barracks.

According to Spokesperson of the Ijaw People Development
Initiative, Daniel Ezekiel, the military has been reprimanded because of not
issuing a warrant of arrest first before breaking into the residence of
The military has been stated as being unlawful and is very
disappointing to exercise such powers not from the court.
Tompolo has previously begged President Muhammadu Buhari to
let the military return his symbol of authority.
