Abuja - Lagos-based civil rights lawyer Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa has allegedly been arrested by operatives from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to a Naij report, the lawyer, who is currently defending ex-militant leader Government Ekepemupolo, is facing accusations of obtaining money under false pretence by renting out a forfeited asset without authorization.

The money for the alleged transaction is said to have been credited to Adegboruwa's Zenith Bank account, which he used thereafter to disburse the funds to various other stakeholders.
According to This Day, Adegboruwa is due to be charged to court as soon as possible.
