Tompolo's whereabouts unknown 4 days to court appearance

15 February 2016, 14:42

Abuja - The whereabouts of former militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, aka Tompolo is yet unknown four days to the February 19 date given by a Federal High Court to the nation’s security agencies to produce him.

The former militant leader is said to be an institution who no citizen of the Niger-Delta will dare reveal his hideout to any security man even if he knows, unless that person does not have a true Ijaw blood flowing in him according to a royal father.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has last week declared Tompolo wanted.

The declaration follows two bench warrants issued against Tompolo by the Federal Court in Lagos, where he was formerly charged N45.9 billion fraud.

Tompolo, along with Patrick Akpobolokemi, have been accused of committing multibillion naira fraud at the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).
