Lagos - A senior strategist at Dangote Industries Limited, Istifanus Bello Gurama, has been murdered.
Gurama was murdered three weeks after his kidnap.
His body was dumped and found in a gutter.
According to Punch, as a senior strategist, Gurama was in charge of negotiations and handing ransom payment to kidnappers whenever any of the expatriates in Dangote Industries was kidnapped.

The day Gurama was allegedly kidnapped, he was said to have gone, as usual, to negotiate and pay ransom money for the release of one of the expatriates. However, on getting there, the kidnappers reportedly said he was the one they were after and he was subsequently detained.
News24 reported in October that Dangote fired 36 expatriates and 12 Nigerians from the group’s headquarters and one of the subsidiaries, Dangote Cement Plc.
A source said the sack was not unconnected with the current high cost of running business in the country occasioned by the unavailability of foreign exchange and the unprecedented hike in the naira to dollar exchange rate.
