04 November 2016, 08:54

Maiduguri - The Nigerian Army has killed two Boko Haram terrorists and intercepted more members of the sect suspected to be on a mission to
loot logistics supplies in some villages in Borno State.

Troops of the 8 Task Force Division made the breakthrough during a fighting patrol along Monguno-Brimari road.

The suspected insurgents engaged the troops in a shootout that lasted for about 15 minutes before they were overpowered by the superior fire power
of the patrol.

Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, Acting Director Army Public Relations, confirmed the development.

He said troops recovered weapons including a Fabrique Nationale (FN) rifle loaded with a magazine containing ten rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, an AK-47 rifle and three magazines from the terrorists.
