Two killed during street carnival in Ondo

Ondo - Two people have allegedly lost their lives during a street carnival that was held in Ondo City, AllAfrica reported.

According to reports, the youth that organised the event got into a quarrel with rival groups which was later resolved by some elders in the area.

The intruders from the rival group started shooting across the carnival at random.

One of the youths was hit by a bullet and died on the spot. This resulted in sporadic fighting of which led to the death of another youth.

Divisional Police Officer, Kunle Omisakin, has stated that so far two people have been arrested with regards to the deaths.

Several have died in Ondo through cults clashes but police respond quickly to such incidents.
