UNILORIN is Nigeria's most sought-after university!

Abuja - The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) in Kwara State has emerged as the university of first choice among student-applicants in the country.

This is according to research by the Economic Confidential with figures, for 2016, attained from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Of the 40 federal universities in the country, UNILORIN is leading with 103 238 applicants.

University of Benin follows with 81 363 applicants.

Ahmadu Bello University has student-applicants of out of which male students are 75 383 applicants.

University of Nigeria Nsukka is number four boasting student-applicants of 65 954.

Fifth is Bayero University Kano with 64 220 applicants.

Rated the best university, UNILORIN was established by a decree of the Federal Military Government in 1975.
