Vandals nabbed and stripped by vigilant group in Abia

11 July 2016, 21:36

Abuja - Vigilante group in Abia State stripped naked four suspected vandals who had been stealing electrical installations in the state, Punch reported.

The hoodlums were captured while trying to rob a physically challenged operator and that's when the vigilante group stepped in.

Residents are tired of not having any electricity in their homes due to transformers being vandalised by hoodlums and decided to take matters in their own hands.

They were handed over to the Abia State Police Command the next morning after the incident.

Police have stated that the identity of the vandals would be made public once investigations have been concluded.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps arrested 33 suspected vandals in 2015 in Kano State.
