The violence escalated on Monday morning when rioters looted shops and blocked the Lagos-Kaduna road, barring traffic from travelling between the northern and southern parts of the country.

The offensive Facebook post has yet to be presented to security operatives, The Trent reports.

Regrettably, a house, a shop and a church were torched as a result of the violence, with 25 shops reportedly having been looted in the process.

Military personnel have stated that they will continue to monitor the situation, assuring that peace will prevail across the state once again.
