Abuja - Militants continued their violent rampage as they blew up a crude oil pipeline, wellhead and manifold belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC and Chevron Nigeria Limited, in Makarava and other parts of Delta State, Vanguard reports.

Meanwhile the Niger Delta Avengers claimed responsibility for the recent attack on the NPDC manifold and two other attacks on crude oil trunk lines in Delta state.
The Avengers posted on social media site, Facebook to claim responsibility for the attacks while giving the exact time that the attacks were done.
It is also believed that militants attacked a pipeline surveillance team who had responded to the blasts. No casualties were reported.
News24 Nigeria reported that the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) said they have launched new attacks on major oil and gas installations in the Delta region. The oil facilities, they said, belonged to Chevron, the NPDC and the NNPC.
Twitter also suspended the account of the Niger Delta Avengers, after the group's announcement on the social media site that it had carried out five attacks on key oil installations recently.
