WATCH: 8-year-old girl begs Buhari for help

07 April 2016, 06:45

Abuja - A video has emerged of a forlorn 8-year-old girl sending out a desperate plea to President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC), begging for assistance.

According to details contained in the footage, the little girl claims that her house has not had light for four days and that the family's generator does not have fuel in it.

She pleads with President Buhari to speak to his predecessor Goodluck Jonathan and ascertain whether or not he knows what to do to alleviate the "scorching suffering Nigerians are going through all in the name of 'change' Nigeria voted for".

Despite its promise of change, the APC has been slow in implementing their policies, leading to much dismay among Nigerian citizens.

While many struggle to feed themselves, the added pressure of fuel scarcity has also hit many of the country's poorest citizens hardest.

Watch the little girl's impassioned plea below.
