Port Harcourt - Officials of the Department od State Services on Friday carried out series of arrest of judges over allegation of collecting bribes.
One of the judges, Mohammed Liman was accused of allegedly taking bribes from Governor Nyesom Wike to give favourable judgment to the Ahmed Makarfi-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Wike mobilised his security men to confront the operatives in the early hours of Saturday as they tried to arrest Liman at his residence on Forces Avenue in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
The governor told newsmen that he was manhandled by the DSS operatives when he resisted the attempt to whisk the judge away.
