Abuja - Footage has emerged online displaying the moment Governor Yahaya Bello was stoned following the Jumat prayer in Lokoja, Kogi State.
According to a Naij report, the Governor was pelted with stones and other objects when locals decided to show their dissatisfaction due to the economic situation currently being faced within the state.

Refuting these claims, Bello's Press Secretary Kingsley Fanwo stated that the disgruntled onlookers were merely expressing their opposition against radical reforms planned by the Governor.
Fanwo has since revealed his belief in the theory that the "locals" were merely enlisted by opposition members.
