WATCH: Policeman shoots okada rider dead over N50 bribe

Abuja - A policeman has shot a commercial motorcyclist dead along the Benin-Ore Expressway after he failed to provide the officer with a bribe, Sahara Reporters has confirmed.

The incident, which took place on Sunday morning, is alleged to have occurred when the okada rider was stopped and had refused to bribe the policeman with N50.

The officer is then alleged to have then become enraged, shooting the man dead before fleeing the scene.

The tragedy invoked outrage from onlookers who then parked their vehicles and helped evacuate the body of the deceased from the road.

Motorists have since demanded that an investigation be conducted into the matter.
