Lagos - Face of Nigeria World ‘Miss Tourism’ winner Ijeoma Okafor has debunked insinuations that beauty pageantry is full of immorality, stemming from the Miss Anambra sex scandal that went viral online.
The Enugu State-born beauty queen said that “Beauty pageantry is serious business. It takes a lot of hard work and discipline to get to the top and should not be seen as an easy come, easy go thing. But it is quite unfortunate that Miss Chidinma, winner, Anambra state ‘Miss Face of Democracy’ pageant got herself involved in such a mess.”
Ijeoma is of the opinion that sometimes, either selfish interest from a sponsor or overzealousness of a candidate plays out when a contestant lacks confidence to prove her worth.
After her initial denial and many weeks of silence, former Miss Anambra, Chidinma Okeke, finally broke her silence on the controversial sex video according to News24.
Since the scandal broke, Miss Chidinma Okeke, who won the Miss Anambra beauty pageant, organised by the Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), went into hiding over alleged threats to her life.
