Abuja – The Nigerian army has reportedly revealed its plan to unravel the masterminds of the gruesome killings over dozens of people by some Fulani herdsmen in the Enugu State last week.
According to Naij, Brigadier General Rabe Abubakar, who is the director of defence information, said army will team up with the police and other security outfits, in order to ensure the continuous protection of lives and properties.
“The issue of security of lives and property rests solely on the Armed Forces and other security agencies, not only to tackle the herdsmen, but also any other criminal gang internally and externally cannot be tolerated,” Abubakar was quoted as saying.
At least over 20 people were killed in Enugu on Monday.
They were accused of killing, raping and robbing members of their host communities.
