Wike, Fayose on FG security watch-list

29 May 2016, 21:12

Abuja - The Federal Government has placed two governors from the southern part of the country on its watch-list, reports NewsDay

The revelation was made by a source close to the Presidency.

According to the source, the governors, one from South-west and the other from South-south were placed on the government’s watch list based on their activities which are clearly anti-Nigeria.

The governors are believed to be Governors Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State.

The Sun reports that the activities portrayed by the governors have negative security implications.

Both governors will no longer be allowed to travel outside the country unless such travels were duly sanctioned by key security officials.

The directive which was issued three weeks ago according to the source has been handed to all security organisations and relevant offices.
