Lagos - Chika Amsy Charles, the woman who swindled prospective graduates of over N5,6 million with the promise of securing them places at Enugu State University of Science and Technology, has been sentenced to 90 years in jail.
Appearing at the Federal High Court Enugu, she was sentenced to three years imprisonment on each of the 30 counts preferred against her by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The sentences are to run concurrently from the date of her conviction (Thursday).
The convict was found guilty of swindling three young Nigerians through her unregistered NGO called “Bold and Dynamic Gender Initiative.”
Her crimes emerged in 2007 when one of her victims petitioned the EFCC.
Two alleged accomplices are at large.
