Abuja - The Federal Ministry of Power, Works and
Housing has arranged an anti-corruption awareness programme for management
This is aimed at creating awareness and strict adherence to
the rule of law and due process in the conduct of government business.
The Permanent Secretary (Works and Housing), Abubakar
Magaji, has opened the event in Abuja.

He stated that government has put in place laws, regulations
and standard practice to guide public servant in the conduct of their duties.
These, he said include the Constitution, Public Services
Rules, Financial Regulations, Scheme of Service, Public Procurement Act.
“Some of the provisions of these laws are often abused and
neglected,” said Magaji.
He said in the present administration had declared its total
commitment to fighting corruption and sanitizing the public service and expects
Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to take the lead in
actualising these goals.
