Abuja - The mother of the now famous 14-year-old Ese Oruru has detailed how she and her family got to know Yunusa Dahiru, who abducted her teenage girl in August 2015.
According to Punch, Rose Oruru said she came to know Yunusa around 2012 when he came to Opolo, the area where the Orurus resided.
At that time Yunusa used to help people carry their loads from the market. It was then that the Orurus decided to help him, particularly after they discovered that he had no place to sleep.
She said she felt betrayed by Yunusu after he abducted her daughter.
"When we discovered that he needed a place to lay his head at night, I decided to help him by allowing him to pass the night in the shop, but not to live there.
"We did not know he would turn against us and kidnap our daughter. Yunusa betrayed me and my family, despite how we helped him,” the mother was quoted as saying.
Ese was realised this week – about eight months after her abduction.
