1 000 PDP members defect to ACN

Enugu - The Action Congress of Nigeria in Enugu State has said no fewer than 1 000 Peoples Democratic Party members had defected to the ACN in the state, Punch reports.

The ACN said the defection would further embolden it to wrest power from the PDP in the 2015 general elections in the state.

The party said the opposition parties planned the sacking of the PDP-led government at the federal level on the auspices of the All Progressives Congress.
