Lagos - 12 All Progressives Congress (APC) governors on Wednesday reached a final agreement to pitch their tent with former Head of State Muhammadu Buhari in the party’s presidential primary holding in Lagos on Wednesday, reports NewsDay.
The governors during a meeting convened by a former governor of Lagos State and national leader of the party, Bola Tinubu agreed to put their weights behind Buhari.
They have even gone ahead to convince one of their colleagues, Governor Rabiu kwankwaso, who is also contesting the election, to step down for Buhari.
Kwankwaso has agreed to the request but will still put up an appearance without putting up a fight at the convention.

The governor who are routing for Buhari are Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara), Ibrahim Geidam (Yobe), Kashim Shettima (Borno), Tanko Al-Makura (Nasarawa), Abdulfatah Ahmed (Kwara), Babatunde Fashola (Lagos) and Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo).
Others are Adams Oshiomhole (Edo), Rauf Aregbesola (Osun), Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun), Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto) and Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers).
