12 Kano Reps deny backing Ganduje over Kwankwaso

24 March 2016, 19:01

Kano - Twelve members of the House of Representatives from Kano State have denied backing Gov Abdullahi Ganduje in the current feud between him and his predecessor, Rabiu Kwankwaso

The lawmakers said their meeting with Ganduje was purely a reconciliation effort and not an endorsement of the governor.

Seventeen of the 24 members of the House of Representatives had in a communique at the end of a meeting held on March 19, appended their signatures endorsing Ganduje as the only leader in the state.

Others are Muktari M. Chiromawa, Musa Ado Tsamiya, Shehu U. Aliyu, Garba Ibrahim Muhammed, Abdulmumini Jibrin and Ahmed Garba Bichi.
