Akure - Two members of the Labour Party (LP) in the Ondo State House of Assembly on Thursday defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), reports Punch.
The lawmakers are Olugbenga Edema(Ilaje Constituency 2) and Folajimi Olaseinde-Vincent(Ose Constituency).
The lawmakers, who announced their defection at a ceremony hosted by the Ondo State branch of the APC in Akure, said they are joining the APC because the LP no longer exist in the state.
Isaac Kekemeke, Chairman of Ondo APC, who received the defecting members, said more members would soon abandon PDP for the APC.
Twenty-three members of House had on October 8 formally parted ways with the Labour Party and moved to the Peoples Democratic Party.
