Maiduguri - Over 5 000 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Borno State have defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, reports Vanguard.
The defectors included three House of Representative members: Isa Kangar, Peter Biye and Abdulrahaman Terab.

They cited bad leadership, selfish interest, lack of provision of social amenities and underdevelopment in APC in the last four years as their reasons for dumping the party.
Others who defected were the immediate past Commissioner for Works, Mohammed Ibrahim Abuna, former state secretary of the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party, ANPP, Yusuf Adamu, some former members of the state House of Assembly, local government chairmen and thousands of their supporters.
