Awka – The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has undergone plans for the prosecution for people who have allegedly registered to vote in multiple areas, AllAfrica reports.
According Prof. Chukwuemeka Onukogu, the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Anambra State it was uncovered in the voters’ register for Anambra State, that 93 000 people were suspected to be involved in multiple registration.
Onukogu said that people go to different areas in order to undergo multiple registration and that the INEC have reported to the police the names of the suspects.
This was in accordance with making sure the governorship poll in Anambra State on November 16, is free and fair.
