ACN, ANPP, CPC to merge in 2013

Lagos -  Action Congress of Nigeria, Congress for Progressive Change and the All Nigeria Peoples Party may form a new party in 2013, Punch reports.

The merger of the parties  is one of the strategies to defeat the ruling Peoples Democratic Party which has dominated power since the advent of the present democracy in 1999.

Political analysts believe the oneness of opposition parties for the 2015 general elections could give the PDP a run for its money.
