Abuja - The Ekiti State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of importing lawbreakers from Lagos to cause mayhem in the state under the guise they were ruling party supporters.
According to press statement issued by the Party Publicity Secretary, Kola Oluwawole, the so-called thugs being mobilised from Lagos were being clothed in PDP vests and face caps.
The party called on security agencies to be on the lookout for the trouble makers.

“Only last Monday, we raised the alarm that the APC had commissioned some people to attack PDP leaders and were threatening PDP leaders, some people said we were only raise false alarm, but three days later, Chief Omolafe Aderiye, a leader of the PDP in Ado-Ekiti was killed," Oluwawole said.
“We have it on good authority that the APC has commissioned thugs coming in four 18-seater buses to Ekiti. They were said to have left Lagos around 11 pm on Saturday. They were armed with acid, cutlasses, guns, sledge hammer, syringe and other dangerous weapons to inflict bodily harm on the people of Ekiti State."
The party called on the Inspector General of the Police and Director General of the Department of State Security Service to investigate.
Oluwawole appealed to lovers of peace in Ekiti and beyond to call on the APC to allow peace to reign and allow the will of the people to prevail.
