The meeting would provide the platform for the APC senators to strategise and ensure that all members of the party in the Senate act in one voice on the day of Amaechi's screening in case the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) attempts to frustrate his confirmation.
Part of the moves of the APC caucus is to use its slim majority to outvote senators of the PDP in the event of a division in the Senate.
Amaechi’s ministerial nomination has been stalemated over allegation of corruption.
