Uyo - The All Progressive Congress (APC) has accused the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) of trying frustrate the party’s petition at the Akwa Ibom Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, reports Daily Trust.
The party noted that the commission has been sabotaging proceedings at the tribunal.
The counsel to the party’s governorship candidate, Victor Iyanam alleged that the commission poured water on the one million ballot papers used for the April 11 governorship election, making it more difficult for the required forensic examination to be carried out.

He noted that INEC deliberately squeezed the ballot papers before pouring water on them .
The APC candidate Umanah Umanah took the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Emmanuel Udom to the tribunal after he was declared winner of the April 11 governorship election by INEC.
