Akure - The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has accused Governor Olusegun Mimiko on Ondo State of coercing National and State Assembly members in the state to join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), reports Punch.
The party also accused the governor of preventing members of the Labour Party (LP) who did not want to join PDP with him from defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Isaac Kekemeke, the state’s party chairman, noted that some some members of the Ondo State House of Assembly were not willing to go to the Peoples Democratic Party with the governor, but for his threat to declare their seats vacant if they did not.
But the governor through his Chief Press Secretary, Eni Akinsola, denied the allegation, saying the governor as a democrat did not need to force anybody to join PDP with him.
