Rivers - Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi has been advised by All Progressives Congress governors to take his case to President Goodluck Jonathan, Premium Times reports.
In solidarity meeting with him Thursday in Port Harcourt, his colleagues urged him to personally see Jonathan and brief him on the worsening security situation in the state so that the president could intervene to restore normalcy to the state.
The state has been flux since last week when members of the state House of Assembly, who have been split into pro and anti-Amaechi camps, clashed in the chamber, resulting in some of them sustaining varying degrees of injuries.
The visit came about two days after youths believed to be supporters of the Minister of State for Education, Nyesom Wike, protested a similar visit by four governors from the North.
