APC inaugurates screening committee on Bayelsa poll

Abuja - The All Progressive Congress (APC) has inaugurated a committee charged with the responsibility of screening the 19 aspirants, who are seeking the party’s gubernatorial ticket in the forthcoming Bayelsa State primary election, reports Peoples Daily.

The committee was inaugurated on Wednesday by the party’s National Vice Chairman, South, Olusegun Oni.

Oni assured that the screening of the aspirants will be free, fair and transparent

The committee is headed by Hakeem Baba Ahmed.

Other members of the committee are Barrister Awole Nwoko who will serve as the secretary, Kemi Olaaleye, Sunny Adamu, Okon Eket, Bashir Bolalowa and  Nonso Nnorom.

The party’s governorship primary is scheduled to hold on September 19.
