Abuja - House of Representatives members in the All Progressives Congress (APC) have vowed to go to court to challenge the eligibility of President Goodluck Jonathan to contest the 2015 presidential election, reports Daily Independent.
The lawmakers based their premise on the Supreme Court’s ruling on former Adamawa State Governor, Boni Haruna, who was stopped by the court from seeking another term in office after completing the term of Atiku Abubakar as Adamawa State governor.
Disclosing the plan to drag President Jonathan to court, one of the APC lawmakers, Hon. Nasiru Sule Garo, said President Jonathan’s decision to contest 2015 presidential election is illegal having been sworn in twice as stipulated in the constitution.
