Lagos - The face-off between President Goodluck Jonathan and lawmakers of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the House of Representatives over the defection of the Speaker of the House, Aminu Tambuwal to the APC turned dramatic on Monday as the lawmakers threatened to commence impeachment proceeding against the President when the House reconvenes.
The lawmakers said they have calogued offences committed by President Jonathan that could warrant impeachment, reports NewsDay.
The legislators, who met in Lagos on Monday said they were fully prepared to go to any length to defend Tambuwal against the treatment being meted on him after his defection to the APC.
