24 October 2014, 17:28

Lagos - Concerned that the governorship ambition of the candidate of the national leader of the party, Bola Tinubu, Akinwunmi Ambose is not getting the desired acceptability among party members, the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos has mandated all the 57 council chairmen in the state to rent 500 persons each to attend Ambode’s declaration for the 2015 governorship race at the Onikan stadium on Friday.

The directive from the party leadership is to make sure the venue of the declaration is jam-packed and create the impression that the aspirant is popular, reports NewsDay.

The directive to hire the crowd was conveyed to the council chairmen in a text message sent to their telephone lines on Thursday.

All the council chairmen were also mandated to be at the venue of the declaration.
