Ekiti - The All Progressives Congress (APC) has filed a petition challenging the results of the June 21 governorship election won by the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate, Ayo Fayose, Vanguard reports.
The Chairman of the Ekiti APC, Jide Awe, was said to have submitted the petition on Saturday before the Ekiti Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Ado-Ekiti.
In an election where the PDP candidate pulled a total of 203 090 votes as against the incumbent Kayode Fayemi's 120 433, the APC believed that the election was manipulated.
