Lagos - Ekiti State Governor-elect, Ayodele Fayose has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of plotting to stop his swearing- in as the governor of the state on October 16, reports ThisDay.
He said the party plans to ensure that the Speaker of the state House of Assembly becomes the next governor of the state instead of himself.
Fayose, who disclosed this during a press conference in Lagos on Wednesday, said the party was trying to obtain judgment through the backdoor after losing the election.
He said it was through such dubious court judgement that former Governor Segun Oni was ousted, paving the way for Governor Kayode Fayemi of the APC in 2010.
He denied reports that he was behind the attack at the State High court when the Judge was ruling on the preliminary objection raised by him on the eligibility case against him in respect of his candidacy in the Ekiti governorship election.
