APC raises alarm over PDP lawmakers’ sitting

Ado Ekiti - The All Progressives Congress on Monday accused Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State of spearheading the alleged impeachment of the Speaker of the State House of Assembly Adewale Omirin , reports Daily Post.

The party described the impeachment of the Speaker by only seven members of the House as the height of impunity.

Lai Mohammed, the party’s National Publicity Secretary,noted that any decision taken by only seven Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members in the 26-member  House will not stand.

He noted that Gov. Fayose went ahead with his decision to spearhead  the alleged removal of Omirin despite the advise by the Clerk of the House that seven members out of 26 do not form a quorum.

The party called on the PDP and the Federal Government to stop instigating crisis in APC-controlled State House of Assemblies.
