Enugu - Two days into the registration of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the party is yet to begin the exercise in Enugu, the state capital.
The centres were reported deserted as both intending members and the registration officers were not present.
The centres visited include New Haven primary school, Okpara Square and Federal Government College in Enugu where some residents seen at the venues, said that they have no knowledge of the exercise.
When contacted, the state Chairman of APC, Joy Ebe claimed that the registration materials were distributed to all polling centres on Wednesday, for the exercise to begin on Thursday, February 6.
"The registration should be ongoing in all the polling centres in the state.
"I am on my way to my village in Nsukka to register. Although we distributed materials late yesterday to all the centres, it is not an excuse for them to delay the exercise.
"They are supposed to be doing the registration in all the centres now. I am surprised about what you are saying," she said.
Also, an APC Chieftain, Osita Okechukwu said that he was also on his way to his village, Eke in Udi local government to register.
Okechukwu said that the registration was ongoing in his village as he was contacted to participate in the exercise.
The APC registration began nationwide on February 5.
