Lagos - The inter-party spat in the Rivers State has continued with the All Progressives Congress (APC) calling on party leader and President, Muhammadu Buhari, to prosecute former First lady, Patience Jonathan, and current governor, Nyesom Wike.
Davies Ikanya, Rivers APC Chairman, said the party appealed to President Buhari to ensure that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) sets in motion a machinery to implement the findings in the Ministry of Education where Wike, as the then Minister of Education, allegedly supervised the massive looting of both the Universal Basic Education (UBE) funds and other funds of the Ministry under the prompting of Jonathan.
“Anything less than ensuring the prosecution of this duo and their prohibition from further participation in the politics of Nigeria will not auger well for the future of our nascent democracy,” Ikanya said.

The relationship between Jonathan, wife of former President Goodluck, has been frosty.
The party has over the months accused the ex-First Lady of involvement in the alleged rigging of general elections held in the state.
APC is challenging the outcome of the governorship lection that steered Wike to power ahead of its candidate, Dakuku Peterside.
Massive rigging and violence are said to have characterized the poll.
