APC set to suspend Saraki

Abuja - There are indication that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is planning to suspend Senate President Bukola Saraki, reports New Telegraph.

His suspension would be after the party’s concludes its probe on his relationship with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The party’s leadership is already planning to convene a meeting of the party’s National Executive Committee ( NEC) to discuss Saraki’s relationship with the PDP.

Some leaders of the party are worried with the support Saraki is getting from the PDP in all the issues involving him.

The APC leaders noted that the PDP has  tacitly been rallying support for the Senate President, who is being tried by the Code of Conduct Tribunal for allegedly false asset declaration.

They stated that the PDP ‘s position on the Saraki issue confirmed that the Senate President is working against the interest of the APC by rubbishing the APC-led Federal Government ‘s anti-corruption crusade.
