APC slams Wike for appealing tribunal judgement

Port Harcourt - The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has berated Governor Nyesom Wike for appealing the tribunal judgement that sacked him from office, reports Leadership.

The party said it was surprised that Wike could appeal the judgement despite his claims that he has the magic wand to always win elections in the state.

Godstime Orlukwu, secretary of the Media and Publicity Committee of the APC in the state, in an interview with journalists on Thursday, said the party will win again at the Court of Appeal,as the tribunal judgment gave many reasons which made it a watertight judgment.

He said the party is not losing sleep over Wike’s decision to appeal the judgement.

Wike had on Tuesday approached the Court of Appeal, Abuja Division,  where he established 26 grounds of appeal, praying it to upturn the judgment of the Election Tribunal which nullified his election on October 24, 2015.
