APC tells Jonathan to forget Rivers in 2015

Port Harcourt - The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has described the boast by  President Goodluck Jonathan that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will recover the state during the 2015 general elections as wishful thinking, reports The Nation.

Jonathan had during the South-South zonal unity rally of the PDP in Benin City on Saturday, said the ruling party will reclaim Rivers and Edo States from the APC during the 2015 and 2017 elections.

Davies Ibiamu Ikanya, chairman of APC in Rivers State said the claim by Jonathan does not represent the reality on ground in the state.

He noted that the people of the state will never vote for the PDP because of the wicked policies of the Jonathan administration against the state.

He said  PDP in the state has become polarized that it would be difficult to win a councillorship seat in a fair and free election.
