APC threatens to form parallel government

06 August 2014, 10:30

Osogbo - The All Progressive Congress (APC) has threatened to form a parallel government in the country if the 2015 presidential election is not free and fair, reports New Telegraph.

The party’s national chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun, said its party would resist all attempts by President Goodluck Jonathan and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-led Federal Government to steal the people’s mandate in the 2015 general elections as they did in the Ekiti State governorship election.

Oyegun who was speaking at a rally in Osogbo to round off the campaign for the re-election of the party’s candidate in the August 9 governorship election in Osun State, said the battle line has been drawn as the party would no longer recognise a fraudulent government from any quarters.

He warned that should the 2015 elections be rigged in favour of the PDP, the APC is poised to set up a new government, which will be a peoples’ government.
