Uyo - The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom State has vowed to appeal the victory of the Senate Minority Leader and former governor of the state, Senator Godswill Akpabio at the Elections Petition Tribunal, reports The Nation.
The party described the judgement of the tribunal as a miscarriage of justice.

Attai Amadu, the state chairman of the party, said the tribunal’s action raised a serious question about the integrity of the Judiciary.
He noted that the tribunal failed to deliver justice in the case but rather allowed itself to be swayed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He wondered how 205 519 accredited voters could have produced 444 505 votes for Akpabio and why the tribunal regarded such glaring over-voting as an error.
Tribunal Chairman, Justice Goddy Anunihu, had on Friday upheld the election of the former governor as the senator representing Akwa Ibom Northwest.
