APC to appeal tribunal judgment in Gombe

20 October 2015, 16:09

Gombe - Gombe State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the April 11 governorship election, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya says he will appeal the judgment of the election tribunal in the state that quashed his case last week.

The tribunal had upheld the election of Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Speaking through the secretary of his campaign organization, Adamu Ahmed Modibbo,  Yahaya described the judgment delivered by the tribunal in favour of Dankwambo as “a broad day light robbery of Gombe peoples mandate which must be reclaimed.”

Modibbo alleged that the party had 90 percent chances of winning at the tribunal but the judges refused to look at all the evidences tendered that showed  “corrupt practices, fraud, multiple voting, ballot snatching, ballot stuffing and  outright rigging.”
