APC to commence registration of members

27 January 2014, 15:10

Birnin Kebbi - The Kebbi chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) said on Sunday that it would begin registration of members in the state on February 5, in preparation for the 2015 general elections.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Interim Chairman of the party in the state, Atiku Bunu, in Birnin Kebbi.

The statement said the exercise would take place in 225 electoral wards.

It said the party called on the people of the state to avail themselves of the exercise, that would last for 30 days.

The statement said registration officials would be deployed to all the electoral wards for the exercise and called on all members of the political parties that had merged into the APC to ensure that they were registered.

It also said that the exercise would guide the party in the smooth conduct of ward, local government and state congresses, scheduled for March 2014.

"The APC will set a good example of orderliness and adherence to party rules and constitutional provisions,” the statement said.
