Abuja - Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has restated his support for the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He appealed to all compatriots to lend their support as the administration implements programmes to bring about “change.”
“As President Buhari begins the hard work of rebuilding our country, he needs our complete support to make the change we asked for. As I said long before the election, President Buhari has my full, unalloyed support to bring Change to Nigeria,” Abubakar said.
The loyalty of the former Vice President became an issue of concern to some members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) over his alleged role in the recent election of National Assembly presiding officers.

The former Vice-President, immediately after the election earlier this week, congratulated the newly-elected leaders of the National Assembly and admonished them to see their elections beyond the narrow interests of respective political parties.
Media reports alleged that Abubakar connived with Senator Bukola Saraki for the latter’s eventual election as Senate President.
This was said to be in defiance to a decision by APC to endorse Senator Ahmed Lawan for the position.
