Abuja - The Acting Governor of Taraba State Garba Umar has appointed Garvey Yahweh as the new secretary to the state government.
He replaces Emmanuel Njiwah, who was one of several government official that were fired after they were indicted by the State House of Assembly for diverting flood relief funds.
Chief Press Secretary to the acting Governor, Kefas Sule, confirmed the appointment.
He said Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf, formerly Board Chairman of Taraba Investment and Properties Limited, would take over as the new Chief of Staff Government House.
"Their appointments take immediate effect," said Sule.
